Call formats

Scheduled vs instant video calls: which format fits your conversation?

Scheduled and instant calls solve different timing needs. A scheduled session gives both people time to prepare, while an instant request works when a creator is available now and the conversation does not need advance planning.

When a scheduled call makes sense

Choose a scheduled call when the topic benefits from preparation, you need a specific future time or both people need to organize around the session.

Scheduled availability is especially useful for coaching, feedback, lessons and other conversations where you may want to gather materials or questions before the call.

When an instant call makes sense

An instant call is useful when your question is timely and a creator has enabled instant-call availability. You can review the profile and available call option, then request the conversation while that person is available.

Instant availability is not guaranteed. If the creator is not available now, a scheduled option may be a better path.

Compare preparation, timing and availability

The main trade-off is flexibility versus preparation. Scheduled calls provide a known future time; instant calls reduce waiting when availability already exists.

The better choice depends on the topic, how quickly you need the conversation and whether the creator currently offers the format you want.

Use the creator profile as the source of truth

Always review the creator profile for current pricing and available call options before continuing. The profile is the clearest place to understand what that creator currently offers.
